Welcome to the Joint International Conference of
Sports Science and Sports
Engineering. The Conference is a primary international quadrennial forum
for scientists and technicians working on topics relating to sports. In
2008, the conference will be held just before 2008Beijing Olympic Game, it
will be a confederation of one main conference –
2008 Pre-Olympic
Congress on Computer Science in Sport (headlined IACSS2008)
mainly organized by IACSS (International
Association of Computer Science in Sport) and Nanjing University of
Science and Technology, accompanied by 4 workshops co-organized by
relating institutes and associations, including
4th
International Workshop on Modelling
and Simulation in Sport
(MSS2008)
International
Workshop of Statistics and Management in
Sports (SMS2008)
International
Workshop
of Sports Biomechanics and Sports Performance (SBSP)
International
Workshop on Sports Engineering and
Sports Equipment (SESE2008).
It will provide an excellent environment for participants
to meet fellow academic professionals, to enhance communication, exchange
and cooperation of most recent research, education and application on
relevant fields. It will bring you new like-minded researchers, fresh idea.
It also provides a friendly platform for academic and application
professionals from crossing fields to communication together. The beautiful
city of Nanjing with a rich culture,
wonderful scenery of lakes and mountains, will definitely create
unforgettable memories for you to bring home.
The Joint 2008 Pre-Olympic Conference will be held at Nanjing on 5-7 August 2008, just
before Beijing2008 Olympic Games
(Please note: Beijing2008 Olympic Games starts from the evening of 8th
August.)
Nanjing - Southern Capital
of China, is 1.5 hour away from Beijing – Northern Capita of China, by
airline, and two hours from Shanghai by fast train.
Nanjing also is easier to reach from Frankfurt, Hong Kong, Macau,
Busan, Osaka, Seoul, Singapore and most China cities by direct airline.
